Integrating fear into the human experience to propel ourselves forward
Fear is one of the strongest emotions we experience as humans.
When it arises, it can overpower everything else—clarity, confidence, even courage. Many humans struggle with fear.
Myself included. I’ve found that fear doesn’t disappear. It isn’t something we eliminate or conquer once and for all. In fact, I’ve found it’s something we continuously deal with on a regular basis in our daily lives.
Accepting fear as a catalyst for evolution
What we should be asking ourselves is whether we can accept fear as an essential part of being human—part

of living as humans. Fear exists not to punish us, but to give us opportunities to expand beyond what we already know.
Fear is often seen as the opposite of freedom, love, and an open heart. An open heart allows us to experience life fully—to feel joy, grief, connection, loss, excitement, and uncertainty.
Fear closes us down, but it also shows us where growth is possible. If we can integrate fear rather than resist it, we can use it as a tool to further ourselves and live with greater acceptance, compassion, and love for all aspects of who we are.
Feeling shame around fear
There is no need to feel shame around fear. Fear is not good or bad—it simply is. It moves us to our edges, into new areas of exploration. It invites us to see ourselves more fully and to experience the complete spectrum of what it means to be human.
It takes courage to step up and overcome and move through fear. When fear is integrated into our experience as humans, it can become one of our greatest strengths. It can shape us into resilient, grounded individuals who make meaningful contributions to the human experience.
Outside of the human experience, there is no opportunity to feel such a wide range of emotions. As humans, we are gifted with the ability to feel deeply—and these emotions are tools for growth and expansion.
Fear isn't something to get rid of; it is something to transform. It is a tool that will help us to propel forward and if you recognize it for what it is, you can begin your own personal transformation.
