There's an overwhelming sentiment in the media, including social media, that the world has gone crazy. It feels like there's a dark void controlling the world. More specifically, it feels like there's a handful of elites (many who are not elected) controlling the critical decisions that are shaping our world.
Are you worried that you will no longer have a place in the world as it unfolds into something less familiar?

I think this is a common sentiment for most people. It's especially true for older people. In particular those of us who were born before 1975. The world has changed radically in recent years and we don't recognize many of the structures. We have a different point of reference than younger generations. We also have a different set of values and things look a bit chaotic at the moment. But even younger generations are finding the world to be a crazy place. Though some may have more modern values and standards than older generations, they are also concluding that the world is going crazy. They are concluding this more from intuition than from experience.
How do you get through this time of craziness?
We've come to a point in history where there will be significant change on our planet. You don't have to be a genius to observe that our previous systems are collapsing. Everything from the entertainment industry to government institutions to religious institutions and nearly everything else too. You can't control the world or the activities or choices of others, but you can control your own response and personal growth to manage and adapt to the change. In fact, you can grow in ways that most previous generations haven't warranted as important. You can grow spiritually which will, in turn, help you to manage all the external elements that appear to be going crazy.
What is spiritual growth?
Defining spiritual growth could fill the pages of a dissertation and I don't think a blog post is the place for this. I'm going to provide a simple summary and let you further refine the definition for yourself.
Spiritual growth is a process of developing a deeper understanding and connection with one's inner self, spirituality, and a higher power.
I'm building resources on the pages of this blog to help develop your own spiritualism. You might call it a path 2 spirit. Every individuals has their own path to spiritualism.
