Chakra meditation

Coming from Sanskrit, the word chakra translates to disk or wheel.
 

Chakras are energy centres that impact emotional, mental and physical health and are an important part of spiritual practice and connection to the spirit world. 

 

Chakra meditation helps to clear and balance them and fuel your ability to connect beyond the veil.

 

Clearing or balancing your chakras at least once per week will help keep your chakras in balance, clear and energized.

 

There are a number or different meditations available to help you clear and build the power in your chakras.

The diagrams below provide some quick tips about the chakras and will guide you through the most important elements of chakra meditation. 

Each chakra is associated with a colour and an emotional feeling. When meditating, imagine these colours and draw upon the feelings associated to each specific chakra. Begin the meditation by focusing on the lowest (root chakra) and work your way to the crown chakra.

 

Use the information from the diagram to guide you through the meditation. It's a bit of a cheat sheet, if you want to do your own meditation without any guidance.

How to use the diagram?

When focusing on the root chakra, think of joy and the colour red.

  • Imagine someone or something that brings you joy.

  • Inhale red and push it through to your chakra and then exhale red.

  • Repeat several times while thinking about joy and someone who brings you joy.

  • Then, move to the next chakra which is the sacral charka.​​
     

When focusing on the sacral chakra, think of peace and the colour orange.

  • Think about connecting deeply.

  • Feel the peace that is inherently within you.

  • Feel the awareness that you possess.

  • Inhale orange and push it through to your sacral chakra and then exhale orange.

  • Repeat several times while thinking about peace, awareness and deep connection.

Follow the same steps for all of the chakras. Each of the diagrams provides a summary of they key elements to focus on while meditating and focusing on that chakra.

Bridge between human and soul and connection point to the spirit world.

6. Third eye

Humility  |  Indigo blue

Centre of clairvoyance. Hear and see information.
